About the AWARE Foundation
The mission of the Adolescent Wellness and Reproductive Education
Foundation (AWARE) is to educate and to empower adolescents to
make responsible decisions regarding their wellness, sexuality and
reproductive health. The AWARE Foundation recognizes adolescents as
a unique group with needs that differ greatly from those of children or
adults. AWARE also wants to educate parents and health care
professionals so that they can better understand adolescent
development and can communicate effectively with teenagers about their
problems and concerns.
